Shape
Now we would all like to look fabulous, but let's face it, we may not have the money, the time, the figure etc. Anyway, it shouldn't matter what we look like should it? We should be valued for who we are not what we look like or the clothes we wear.
Until quite recently I actually used to believe this. If you do too, try this quick 5 minute test. Go to your wardrobe and find something that you really don't like, doesn't really suit you, maybe doesn't fit properly - you get the idea. Now try it on and go and stand in front of a full length mirror.*

Look at what you're wearing... and now look at your face. I'll bet you're pulling a face, maybe screwing up your nose or shrugging, and your shoulders will droop as your head falls forwards and you cast your eyes downwards.
Now try the same thing with your favourite outfit. Notice the difference in your response. This time you'll be standing up straight, smiling or even grinning at yourself, and maybe even turning sideways on to get a better view!
Is this making any sense yet? |

So this is not about dressing nicely to live up to other people's expectations. When you dress in clothes that suit you, you will feel miles better about yourself, you will feel more confident, and your improved posture (because you're feeling good about yourself) will give an positive impression of your self confidence to other people. It's a win-win situation.
By the way, you can save £100's on clothes you'll never wear by carrying out the same test in the fitting rooms. If you try on an item of clothing and grin at yourself it's a yes, if you scowl, grimace or pull any kind of face it's a no, and if you're not sure - it's also a NO!
We suggest you start trying to work out what sort of body shape you are, and what style of clothes will suit you best by watching "What Not to Wear" on television, or by getting hold of Trinny & Susannah's latest book...
Trinny and Susannah the Survival Guide: A Woman's Secret Weapon for Getting
Through the Year *(If you don't have a full length mirror you need to get one. Then put it somewhere where you can see it, not in the darkest corner of your house!)
